Coronary artery bypass surgery

Coronary bypass surgery involves bypassing the blocked portion of the coronary artery. This is done using a piece of blood vessel from the chest wall, legs or arms. This operation is performed in patients with advanced coronary heart disease and severe narrowing of the coronary arteries.
