Colorectal cancer is a malignant tumour in the colon or rectum. It is one of the most common types of cancer. The typical symptom is blood in the stools. The most important treatment is currently surgery to remove the cancer, in combination with chemotherapy or radiation therapy. The indicator shows the frequency of inpatient treatment of patients with colorectal cancer, both when it is coded as the principal diagnosis and when it is coded as principal or secondary diagnosis.
