The MMR vaccine is a combined vaccine for immunisation against measles, mumps and rubella (MMR). MMR are contagious viral diseases that can result in debilitating symptoms and serious complications, and in rare cases, even death. Vaccination is an effective way of providing protection against these diseases and is recommended for children as part of their initial immunisation.
